Fluffy Gryphon - FBT Quadruped PCVR Avatar for VRChat!
Assets | Unknown license!
NEW: Substance Painter .spp, all set up for painting! If you are using VRCFury, don't let it fix the Write Defaults! Also, if you were having upload issues before, try the latest unitypackage. There are two Scenes now, one for if you aren't using VRCFury, and one for if you are (for face tracking and fur movement)--either make sure VRCFury is installed BEFORE you install my .unitypackage, or reinstall my .unitypackage once you've installed VRCFury! :) Tester public avatar at https://vrchat.com/home/avatar/avtr_44fabd6d-cc40-4ed7-9968-2e7c3316d6d8 ! - Designed for standing around in fullbody, this quad rig also shines in 3-point, and comes with tons of dances, VRChat's default emotes, and some custom poses for a little extra desktop expression! Shrink into a tiny hovering gryphon and wave your foreclaws around, soar in a special OpenFlight compatibility mode, give rides to friends, puppeteer your head by pulling it off your shoulders with your left hand, sparkle on with AudioLink, GET PETTED with Warren's Fast Fur Shader, and MORE! Warren allows redistribution of his shader so long as it is locked. Additional colorways are planned, but, for now, please consider purchasing Warren's shader (https://warrenwolfy.gumroad.com/l/atntv) for ease of retexturing this avatar while keeping its fuzziness intact! A Substance-style exploded paint blendshape is also included on the model, and the gryphon's UVs are SYMMETRICAL! Woohoo! (Accessories are wedged in on it wherever they will fit). This avatar benefits hugely from normalizedcrow's Feather/Fur Shader (https://normalizedcrow.gumroad.com/). Please consider purchasing this shader as well--it's not strictly necessary, but if you have it, you'll get to floof your feathers on Gesture, and I made it so they ruffle around in flight! MODELS ARE SHOWN WITH THIS SHADER ENABLED. Once installed, this shader should be filled out with the included utility textures for it in the special little folder, and then applied to the "subdermal feather mesh" on material slot 2 (the third one, there are four slots in total and they are numbered in Unity starting from 0). This shaderpackage also bakes data onto a copy of the mesh, which may confuse you if you go to revise or add blendshapes to the base .fbx in Blender... check normalizedcrow's Discord for support "rebaking" your mesh if you can't figure out how to update your blendshapes! (The "Nude" variant in the Scene does NOT have the Feather/Fur shader applied, and retains its original unbaked mesh, in case you need it.) BUG TRACKER: Whole-avatar pickup will only work after YOU open and close YOUR Debug menu, for some reason. The pickup physbone is also incredibly hard for others to grab (???). Warren's Fast Fur Shader remains under active development, as does its enabled module for Light Volumes. The wingless oneâs OpenFlight Compatibility pose is a little different from the winged oneâs pose, it has a higher head carriage and I do NOT know why. It looks fine, though. I just… I donât know why… Patches will be uploaded here as progress is made, or I complete the patterns update to the Substance file. --- Terms of Service: If you own the model, you may commission others to work on it, as well as take paid comms involving it or sell paid add-ons/upgrades to it (e.g. a saddle, kitbashing something elseâs head on it, etc). Just make sure everyone involved owns it too. Oh, and you can upload Public versions of the avatar on VRChat! Totally fine. In addition, so long as you own it, you may use it in your own work and as part of your own projects, so long as you in good faith believe the model itself represents no more than half of your finished product/you're putting a ton of your own work in on it (re-rigging, etc). Basically, if you need a gryphon for some reason, especially if it doesn't involve VRChat--you can go ahead and use this one! I don't mind. Without the crazy custom FBT quad rig, it's just a 3D gryphon model with very strange bones inside. :V Thanks for buying it!
